Can I buy wireless equipment from abroad and sell it in the UK?

CE marking is a declaration by the manufacturer that a product meets all the appropriate provisions of relevant European Directives.

The European Directive covering wireless equipment is the Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive 1999/5/EC.

It is the responsibility of the importer to ensure that the product is correctly CE-marked before making it available in the UK.
